Getting here

Getting to Limehouse is easier than you think…

We are 30 seconds from Limehouse DLR on the corner of Commerical Road and Butcher Road.

Limehouse DLR is:

  • 4 minutes journey from Canary Wharf DLR station where you can change on to the Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line
  • 5 minutes journey from Bank underground station where you can connect with the Central, Northern, District or Circle lines
  • 2 minutes journey from Shadwell station where you can connect with the London Overground Windrush Line to other destinations
  • 5 minutes journey from Tower Gateway DLR station at Tower Hill
Whilst the DLR stops running around 00:30 (and 00:00 on Sunday’s) there are frequent night buses to Shadwell and Canary Wharf connecting you with the night tube (Jubilee line and London Overground) on Friday and Saturday nights.

The White Swan is 30 seconds from two Limehouse Station bus stops (stops LK & LB) serving bus routes D3, 15, 115 or 135.

But what about when the buses stop we hear you ask? Well these stops also serve the N15, N550 and N551 bus routes which run every 15-30 minutes throughout the night from Charing Cross to Romford (via Poplar, Canning Town and Barking), Canning Town and Galleons Reach (via Canary Wharf) respectively.

Did you know Limehouse station is not limited to DLR trains? You can take the C2C National Rail trains from Fenchurch Street out to West Ham, Barking, Upminster and beyond to Essex.  With Limehouse station part of this popular Commuter route almost all trains stop at Limehouse station – making this a great option to reach us from further afield.

The White Swan is on the A13 and next to the Highway, providing quick access in and out of the City. As a bonus, we are next to the Limehouse Link and Rotherhithe tunnel (when it’s open) providing you quick access by car to Canary Wharf and South of the River.

Whilst the White Swan does not offer customer parking, you can explore free on-street parking around the area at evenings and weekends. For more information check out the Parking Zones information on Tower Hamlets website. [Note: we are parking zone C]

Looking for something more scenic? Take the Thames Clipper boat from Central London, Battersea or Greenwich to Canary Riverside pier and enjoy the 15 minutes picturesque stroll along the Thames Pathway and around Limehouse Marina.
